Where did you attend school, or, if you are currently in school, where do you go? Describe any accomplishments in school or participation in activities.

I graduated from Chariho High School in 1992. I graduated from Ithaca College in 1996 with a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry. I attended Brown University for one year of graduate school before deciding to pursue Martial Arts full time.

Besides your karate training, what are your other hobbies and interest?

Skateboarding & Snowboarding.

What motivated you to start taking karate?

I started my Martial Arts training in college at age 19, primarily as a way to stay in shape and for something fun and different to try.

What have you accomplished through your karate training and how has your training helped you outside of the karate school?

I have achieved my 5th degree Black Belt in Shorin-Ryu Shorin-Kan Karate and am proud to say that I am a full time Martial Arts Instructor. It really is a dream job. I consider myself fortunate and blessed to be able to say that I really love my job.

Why have you chosen to become an instructor?

Practicing and teaching the Martial Arts is one of my passions in life. I love helping my students achieve their goals, improve their skills, and better their lives. I could probably be making a lot more money in the field I studied in college, but doing what I am doing now is far more rewarding.

What are your plans for your Martial Arts future?

I plan to continue practicing and teaching Karate forever.
